Starting the season off with a bang, Salomon Snowboards presents ‘Purpose Free’. Filmed in Bakhmaro, a remote village nestled in Georgia’s Lesser Caucasus Mountains, Purpose Free isn’t your average shred movie. With a docu-style creative flair and plenty of banger shots, it explores the multi-generational relationships that permeate snowboarding culture and how different perspectives and philosophies can shape our experience in the mountains.
“It’s a two-way street: the older generation passes down knowledge, cultural codes, and wisdom, but the younger generation also inspires upward with new styles, tricks and attitudes. It creates this unique dynamic where you can have someone like Wolle, who’s 47 years old, riding with someone like Blake, who’s 23 years old, and they’re both learning from and encouraging each other.”
