One of the things that’s most inspired us in the last couple of years is that despite the economic downturn, there are still new brands, production companies, and cool ass projects popping up throughout the snowboarding realm. The best part of all is that people are doing things, not purely to make money, but also because it’s something they feel that they need to do and that they have something to offer.
One that we’ve learned of recently is Strawberry Snow by photographer Yves Suter. It’s a travel journal documenting the trip that Yves and pro rider Dominik Betschart took to Japan and is entirely shot using analog cameras. 160 pages in length and printed and stitched in Switzerland, it’s a limited edition (only 300 copies) thing of beauty.
Strawberry Snow is available for €59 from Hakuin Verlag
