On a perfect day you will find me shredding park with friends, laughing hard and pushing each other but I’d never deliberately head down the Hari Kari run in Mayrhofen on an icy day.
What is your UK home dome/slope/mountain? – Braehead
What did you get up to last season? Sadly I didn’t do last season. I work on yachts now so don’t get as much time on the snow as I used to. I still did quite a few trips – a week in Andorra, a week in Austra and I was living near a resort called Isola on the south coast of France so got up there as many weekends as I could.
Describe your riding style in ten words or less Flawless. Ha! Nah, I just like to have fun, it varies dramatically!
Roughly how many days a year do you get on snow? It massively varies. In the past; loads, this year; not so much. Next year, I’m planning a few months in Whistler.
What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on? It has to be when I went to the states with Charlotte Witts. We did Northstar, Sierra, Bear, Breck, Keystone and I’m sure a few others! Great people, great parks, real fun trip.
What was the last trick you learned? I think it was front 3’s off of rails.
What was your first ever snowboard set up? I bought a 156 Burton Feelgood with Burton Custom bindings.
What are your stance width and angles – and why? I’m regular and have a pretty wide stance. I ride +21 -17 which might sound ridiculous but its the most comfortable for me.
What one piece of advice do you wish you’d been given when you bought your first board? Lose 6 inches! It was a unit compared to what I ride now, I’ve learned that I prefer softer, shorter boards
