The brand new Vans Ferra snowboard boot in Hana Beaman’s signature colorway offers built-in customization specifically developed for women. Getting the correct tightness of snowboard boot laces is difficult, but thanks to Hana’s help, the Ferra now features the ultimate fit for the female foot with the Vans Hybrid Boa Closure System, which blends traditional lacing with the Boa dial to cover the crucial instep and heel areas. This woman-specific construction even translates into the Response liner, a dual-density, heat-moldable liner that offers a nailed-in fit from the get-go with precision response for any terrain or condition. The Ferra also features an internal wrap harness for a more personalized fit, a Pleasure Cuff with supple elasticity for a customized fit and lasting comfort, Waffleflex Outsoles for lightweight performance, and dual-density UltraCush V2 Footbeds for mechanical support and dampening

Vans were one of the first skate show companies to commit to snowboarding and have been building some of the sport’s most favourite boots for more than 20 years. Female specific fits have been part of the Vans program since say one and their latestst offering is the Ferra, which was super well received at Snowboard Spring Break this season, thanks to the combination of BOA to the inner and traditional lacing to the outer for the perfect combination of speed and a custom fit. A medium flex means that the boots stand up to all mountain riding as well. Kristin rode them at Snowboard Spring Break and said ‘Love the BOA on the ankle, really fixes the foot in. Also really keen on the lace as well’

This is the Hana Beaman colourway of the Ferra, designed for and by 15 year Vans team rider Hana Beaman. Staff photographer James North caught up with Hana in Mayrhofen earlier this year and this is what she had to say about the boots

SIZES: UK 5 - 11
FLEX: 4-5 out of 10

‘Good, solid and slightly stiffer boot as you’d expect. Absolutely loved the internal BOA feature which keeps your heel nice and snug. No pressure points on first try – could happily charge in these all season.
