If you can cast your mind back to the end of last season, we ran a piece in the print magazine promoting Gonzilla’s movie project ‘Portrait: a season in UK snowboarding’. Well, the clock is ticking and the boys have just announced that the cut off point for submissions is 12pm on Tuesday 31st July 2012.
This from Gonzilla’s Sean Miller
So, this is a final shout regarding submissions for our movie Portrait. We’ve decided to slam the door shut on Tuesday 31st July at 12pm exactly. We’re really stoked (and really relieved) by the all footage we’ve received so far, we’ve been sent a whole spectrum of snowboarding from a whole host of snowboarders. We’re not going to give away too much, but some of the footage we’ve seen still has us smiling now!
Just to keep everyone in the loop I thought I’d tell everyone that we’ve already started editing and the whole project is starting to take shape quite nicely. We think that it’ll probably make a decent 15-20 minute short film, which we’ll be giving away on a number of platforms probably late September… but we’ll drop you more details about that later.
We’re not too sure if we’ll ever make a film this way again, so if you have any footage and you’d like to be involved in this project then it isn’t too late. We started this projected with a massive open door policy; all footage accepted from UK riders (pro’s, sponsored riders and amateurs are all welcome) and any style/discipline of snowboard is fine too. It doesn’t matter is you have 1 clip or 100 clips, the only restrictions are that the footage is at least 720p and that it hasn’t been used before, we’re only after original stuff.
So, yeah– last shout. Get in touch with us via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org We’re looking forward to seeing what everyone has been up to.
