If you’ve ever rolled up to a park and thought ‘these obstacles suck, I could have designed something better’ then here’s your chance to put your money where your mouth is… Analog’s ‘Design Unlikely Features’ competition is back, giving riders the opportunity to design a park feature of their own – and the winning design will be built and you’ll be there to see the first competition go down on it!
From the press release…
“Analog’s Design Unlikely Features Contest invites you to create a unique, custom-built jib feature. Come up with a totally new idea, or build upon something that already exists. Draw it by hand, create on your computer, sketch on a napkin, build it out of Popsicle sticks…use whatever method you want. Be creative! Send your entries to Analog via email, standard mail or upload it to our site between October 15th-January 15th to: Email: Designunlikelyfeatures@analogclothing.com (mention Europe in subject box). Snail Mail: Analog, Design Unlikely Features Contest, z.a de Pedebert, 180 av. des menuisiers, 40150 Soorts-Hossegor, France. Upload: http://www.analogclothing.com/designunlikelyfeatures/submit-a-feature
Entries will be judged based on creativity, ride-ability, and build-ability. We are looking for something fresh and imaginative, and that is also movable. Analog judges will pick the winner with a little help from you. Twice a month we will post the top five entries on www.analogclothing.com. These semi-finalists will receive a swag package just for being a top entry!
If you win, you will have your dream creation built and Analog will bring you out for the weekend to the Design Unlikely Features Contest on March 19th, 2011. Avoriaz 1800 will host the event where you can participate in the first ever contest on your winning feature. No pressure, competing is optional. In addition, the winner will receive:
2 Round Trip Tickets to/from Avoriaz 1800 resort
2 Nights Lodging at Avoriaz 1800 resort
Custom built snow feature at Avoriaz 1800 resort
Contest centered around your creation
Analog Outerwear Kit (Gloves, Jacket, Pants)
Analog Clothing Package (Including: Jeans, beanie, t-shirt, flannel, fleece, backpack, and belt)”
Sounds good, huh? Check out the clip from last year’s event…
