To be honest, we hadn’t picked up on the Marilyn Monroe colab, but having snagged a set of the Spectre mitts, we’re glad to have caught up!
Mitts are the epitome of on hill warmth simplicity, keeping your digits together to ensure that heat is retained in one place. Burton’s Spectre mitt is a spring or pipe mitt – slim cut, simple and with light insulation – but you could also combine it with a gloved fleece liner and have a pretty compelling year round set up. Wrist loops help make sure you don’t drop one on the bus home and a generous velcroed neoprene wrist area allows you to rock these mitts over or under your jacket/hoody, whatever you choose. The outer shell is made from Burton’s proprietary Dryride 2 layer stretch fabric, which offers a combination of water resistance and comfort, with a suede palm printed with Burton’s Sticky Icky grip and the whole mitt is precurved for a perfect fit. As well as the regular colours, Burton have also dropped a Marilyn Monroe collar, featuring two iconic images of her on the top of the glove with her signature printed on the palm.
The Burton Spectre mitt is a killer, well priced and super comfortable glove that can be easily adapted for use in any weather condition.
