Travis Rice re-signs to Quiksilver until 2020!

Quiksilver is proud to announce the extension of their partnership with one of the world’s best all-round snowboarders, Travis Rice, for another five years. For the past decade, Quiksilver has been working closely with Travis, creating high performance outerwear for his adventures and exploration in the world’s most challenging environments. Teaming up with Quiksilver, Travis is deeply involved in the design and development of the signature collection that bears his name, R&D testing every single product of his own outerwear signature series including technical outerwear and accessories (gloves, bags…) and of course, his pro model goggles. Quiksilver is also proud to support Travis’ groundbreaking films including “That’s it, That’s All”, “The Art of Flight”, and the highly anticipated upcoming Red Bull Media House and Brain Farm production “The Fourth Phase” premiering globally on October 2, 2016. Travis Rice is part of the Quiksilver Winter Team, alongside Bryan Fox, Mathieu Crépel and Candide Thovex.

“I am thrilled to be signing back on with Quik for the next 5 years. It has been a wild decade and they have had my back through it all. More than ever, Quiksilver has aligned its focus, energy and product direction and I am proud to have their back with the incredible new products that just started rolling out” said Rice. “In an industry filled with outsiders trying to fill the space I stand with a company that’s been in the snowboard game for over 30 years. I live the Mountain and the Wave and it’s those ideals at Quiksilver that I want to work and live with. Nothing but optimism for our future and grateful for all the creative opportunities to come.”

Since exploding onto the international scene at the end of the 90’s, the prodigious rider from Jackson (Wyoming), hasn’t stopped re-inventing tricks and exploring new lands. After a decade dominating the professional freestyle scene winning two X Games gold medals, the TTR tour Overall Champion title and a first place at the Arctic Challenge, Travis decided to leave the parks behind and dedicate himself to his biggest passion – taking his innovative brand of freestyle into the mountains. The son of a ski patroller followed his heart and headed to the open spaces and un-tracked wilderness of the mountains to put his own brand on film and contests. Along with friend and filmmaker Curt Morgan and the crew at Brain Farm, Travis Rice revolutionized sports cinema. Early successes with ”The Community Project” and “That’s it, That’s All, expanded the way the world saw snowboarding through Travis and friends’ adventures.

Three years later, “The Art Of Flight” premiered establishing Travis as a snowboarding pioneer, placing him at the forefront of his discipline. With the best cinematography ever seen in sports film production, innovative editing and a heavy duty soundtrack, “The Art of Flight” became the most successful action sports film of our time.

This fall Rice returns in the highly-anticipated follow-up to “Art of FLIGHT”, as Red Bull Media House in association with Brain Farm present “The Fourth Phase” with support from partners including Quiksilver. Rice and some of snowboarding’s most innovative riders have set off on a snowboarding adventure unlike any undertaken before. The journey comes to life for viewers worldwide this fall.
