We’re lucky enough to check out a lot of great gear here at The Reason, so we gathered a few of our contributors together to tell us the pieces of 2017’s kit that have stood out for them, both on the hill and for the job they do for us. First up, Staff Photographer James North. Click the images to check out the brand’s sites.
Analog Balaclava £25
Essential, nothing will keep you warmer. No one likes a draft down the neck.
Bad fitting outerwear drives me crazy, the fit and cut have to be right in order for you to be comfortable. Analog always nail this year on year.
Burton Touchscreen Liner Gloves £18
Hours shooting in the freezing cold doesn’t do nice things to you hands. These keep them warm enough allowing dexterity to still fire the camera (and work your phone if desired!)
Dragon Marquis Sunglasses from £90
When things warm up and spring hits, its nice spending sunny days shooting slushy stunts…. sunnies are a must.
Vans MTE Sk8-Hi’s £79.95
I never go to the mountains without these. Not only do they keep you dry and warm when walking around town, they are perfect for street missions meaning you are not constantly taking your boots on and off.
Burton Zoom Pack £130
This holds all my gear and does the job incredibly well. I can’t believe the paces I put this through and it always holds out.
