#LOCALISM – A short film from Rome SDS

Rome Snowboards have dropped their first edit of the season – LOCALISM – a project put together by The Reason friend ‘Fast’ Eddie Rakete, Rome’s warranty/do everything man from their Munich office.

‘Rally your crew!

The opening of your local mountain is always a day to celebrate and this season our new European Regional team gave it the full send! In early October as the glaciers began to open the crew made their rounds to Hintertux, Kaunertal and Stubai to session each park with a fresh round of technical rail tricks and uber stylish jumps. Edges were dulled, grabs grabbed and parks slaughtered.

The Localism crew consists of Katha Buchegger holding it down for the ladies, the always technical Max Glatzl and Lorenz Vysozil, German rippers Felix Georgii, Gabor Abonyi, Tobi Hartmuth and the young Finn Rene Rinnekangas. Each one hails from a different local scene but brought their own style and approach to the glaciers.

Localism embodies the level of passion for snowboarding that exists at Rome. A film and idea from Rome’s very own European warranty/do-everything man, Eddie Rakete. He took a break from the office to hit glaciers and take a stab at filming and editing to showcase the young and up-and-coming talent of our regional European team. Completely on his own accord Eddie documented these openings, the excitement of being on snow again and the park carnage that accompanied them.

Your first days on snow are some of the most fun of the season and the Localism crew knows that all too well!
